I had a blessed evening with three of my sisters in Christ last night: Joan, Stephanie, and Bernice. We gathered together to talk about the struggles and joys in our spiritual journeys towards holiness.
There’s something significantly different about the girlfriends you make when you’re able to talk about God, and how God is working in your lives. There’s a deepened understanding between you and your sisters on how you see the world, the emotions you feel, and the choices you make.
These kinds of girlfriends are able to share your struggles in being a young woman, letting go of worldly ideas, and faithfully following the path to Heaven: Mind, body, and soul.
Meeting these young women and having them share their lives with me, has shown me how much God pours out His love on women who consciously work hard throughout their conversion process—repenting their sins, spending time to get to know God, and bringing the loving, nurturing, and beautiful side of God to help heal the world through their interactions with family, friends, strangers.
There’s always a feeling of empowerment after I meet with them, because I know the Devil gets furious to see a group of beautiful young women praising God and talking about the wondrous beauty, security, and comfort of having Jesus in our lives.
Lord,
Please protect all women. Let them know your unconditional love for them, and please have them use their beauty for good, not for evil. Help them bring forth life in everything they do, either through sharing a smile to brighten someone’s day or a gentle embrace to help heal a broken heart.
Please let women never be too prideful, and to be able to admit their weaknesses if ever they need help. Please heal women’s hearts that have turned into stone due to the harshness of the world and those who have sinned against them.
Let them know that the only man of their dreams is you, Jesus, and no one else. That you are the only one that will fulfill their lives completely.
In Jesus’ name, and with the powerful intercession of Mama Mary, I pray…
+AMEN.
Song dedicated to my Sisters in Christ and the women in my life:
Sisters
Words by Dick and Melodie Tunney
I’ve never walked a mile in your shoes
Tasted the tears you’ve cried
I’ve never known the deepest longings
You hold inside
But I’ve had my share of disenchantments
Days when I’ve been so low
And I’m here to say no matter the heartache
You’re not alone
I will be there with you
through all the joy and sorrow
I will be there to point you to the One
Who holds each tomorrow
Chorus:
We are sisters, sisters in the Lord
Our faith in common, sisters in the Lord
No matter how the world defines us
Nothing can break the ties that bind us
We are sisters, in the Lord
We were all little girls at one time
Full of hopes and dreams
And now as we give ourselves we’re learning
What love really means
I will be there with you
through all the joy and sorrow
I will be there to point you to the One
Who holds each tomorrow
Take my hand
I’ll take yours
We’ll reach together
For the hand of the Lord
I’ve been staying away from television for awhile, but last night I went on hulu to watch an episode of Glee, and I’m glad I did, because they had the most soothing version of Charlie Chaplin’s theme song, Smile. So beautiful I want to share it.
This is a prayer usually said after Holy Communion.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me; Body of Christ, save me; Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me; Passion of Christ, strengthen me; O good Jesus, hear me; within your wounds, hide me; let me never be separated from you; from the evil one, protect me; at the hour of my death, call me; and bid me to come to you; that with your saints, I may praise you forever and ever. Amen.
Oh my Jesus,
it is for love of Thee,
in reparation for the offenses committed
against the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
and for the conversion of poor sinners.
Amen.
During the July 13, 1917 apparition, Our Lady taught this prayer to the children to be said when they have some sacrifice to offer God.
I will start writing in here more!!!
My life is more organized when I blog.
